About the Founder
From a young age, Soichi Taga found joy in creating things—whether it was building plastic models or assembling radio-controlled cars. After graduating from university with a degree in architecture, he joined the design department of a housing manufacturer. However, the company went bankrupt just four months later.
Following a brief stint of unemployment, he made a surprising career shift into real estate sales—a field he had no prior experience in. Within just three months, he was promoted due to his unexpected aptitude for the role. Two years later, he transitioned to the venture capital world, where he witnessed both dramatic IPO successes and devastating business failures. These experiences led him to reassess his own career path.
In December 2003, he founded De Lampe Inc., a play on the name of a well-known real estate investor. At the end of its founding year, the company had only ¥1,000 in cash and ¥60 million in debt. With a motto of creating not just assets but personal “ORE-ssets” (a play on the Japanese word for “my own assets”), he succeeded in purchasing a small apartment building in Sumida Ward within three months.
During renovations, however, ¥2 million out of the ¥3 million renovation budget was embezzled. This incident sparked the idea for his next venture—a DIY rental business.

One day, he purchased a property in a hot spring town believing he could draw natural hot spring water, only to find out post-renovation that the source was no longer available. Undeterred, he built a custom sauna stove instead, finding peace and inspiration in what he now calls “dialogue with fire.”

幼少期にプラモデル・ラジコンなどから、『つくる』ことに楽しみを見出す。大学卒業後、某住宅メーカー設計課に配属されるも4カ月で倒産。数か月のニート生活後、畑違いの不動産営業で意外な能力が覚醒し、３カ月で昇進。2年後、ベンチャーキャピタルに転身し、華麗な上場や悲惨な倒産の末路に自分自身の方向性を再考する。
2003年12月、有名不動産投資家をモジった ドランプ有限会社 を設立。この年末残高、現金1000円、借金6000万円。資産ならぬ『俺産を作る』をモットーに3か月後、小さいながら不動産１棟を墨田区で購入に成功。ところが、予算300万円の改装資金から200万円を使い込みされたことからDIYレンタルビジネスが始まる。
温泉がひけるということで温泉街に物件を買ったが、改装後に温泉が引けなくなった。
現在は、代わりに作ったサウナ窯で『炎』との対話を楽しんでいる。
